We will be closed on Monday, May 27th, in observance of Memorial Day. Refuse and recycling collection will be one day late all week (except for downtown night routes which will remain on regular schedule). Have a fun and safe weekend!

PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT. The City of Spokane Solid Waste Management Department only hires seasonal temporary positions through our office. Most permanent positions in the City are hired through the Civil Service system. SEASONAL TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT. The Solid Waste Department hires seasonal temporary employees to work during the months of March thru October. Applications for seasonal temporary positions can be turned in at our office during business hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. We are located at 1225 East Marietta Avenue (one block south of North Foothills Drive., between Nevada Street and Perry Street).
